Green Building
Steel is the proven standard in the effort to create sustainable architecture. Butler Manufacturing Company offers a full range of energy-efficient, sustainable steel building systems. By pairing the inherent benefits of steel with the company’s own “green” technologies and practices, Butler remains committed to helping you build better, not only for today, but for tomorrow as well.
".. for what it will mean tomorrow. ”
The different shades of Butler green:
Recycled – Virtually all Butler components are made from recycled scrap materials. Butler creates an ecologically attractive way to complete metal building designs.
Reduced material use – The design of Butler® building systems allows the use of fewer construction materials. This is accomplished by utilizing pre-defined framing, fabricated per order.
Reusable – All Butler steel buildings, made primarily from recycled materials, are 100% reusable.
Finishes – All finishes applied by Butler meet or exceed EPA regulations for low VOC paints.
Energy efficient – Butler offers a range of insulation systems that can achieve R-40 or more if required. Using sophisticated and tested insulation systems helps lower utility cost, providing increasingly energy-efficient metal building systems.
Cool roofs – Butler offers sustainable 25-year fluoropolymer color finishes that meet reflectance and emittance standards for “cool roofs.” Galvalume® low-slope roofing systems made by Butler are also proven efficient by Energy Star® standards.
Transportation cost – Butler regional fabrication plants assure that production is close to most building sites, reducing transportation energy costs.
Lifecycle advantages – Butler provides energy efficient buildings designed for longevity. The value of Butler metal building systems lies in reduced lifetime maintenance and utility costs.
